What is a normal heart rate if you are pregnant and anaemic?
I know that your heart rate is normally Heart Rate Pulse Monitor higher if you are anaemic, but when is it dangerously high? I just checked my pulse on my home blood pressure monitor and it was 149. Is this normal if you are anaemic and 38 weeks pregnant?
Before, when we exercise, we have to stop what we were doing and count our pulses manually. If they are way beyond our target heart rate, we decrease the intensity of our exercise. Have now owned three Mio watches. While I really like the concept I’m extremely frustrated with the quality of the instrument. I have only been able to keep each watch about six months before something goes wrong. In one case the wrist band broke, in another the face disappeared, and most recently the four buttons on the sides are not working. I had to go back to the Timex Ironman, and even though I cannot automatically get my heart rate… I certainly have a watch that is more dependable. Unfortunate but that is the experience I have had.

Works after the third or fourth try. On occasion it is completely inaccurate but mostly just unreliable. When it does work its great but I would spend the extra money for better model or different brand.

I gave this to my wife as a gift. It turned out to be quite disappointing for the reasons stated in other reviews, Heart rate readouts were either inconsistent or not at all.. back to the store it goes

I am starting a workout program and decided to purchase this watch to help me keep track mostly of my heart rate while working and also when resting, nice that it wil also measure calories burned. If you take your pulse several times during workouts it will also show you how many calories you have burned based on your level of activity. The setup was very easy out of the box (do read the instructions first). Unlike other reviewers I have not had any problems taking my heart rate while working out, it’s very easy and so nice not to have to wear a chest strap which I did NOT want to have to do. I also feel it is much more accurate than the so/so readings I am able to get from the heart rate monitor on my treadmill. The only reason for the 4 rating is that it is rather large for a woman although that doesn’t particularly bother me because I like to wear larger mens watches, and I wish you could get it in other colors – not crazy about the red color.

I first saw this heart rate monitor when it was recommended in a review on the [...]on-line store. It was described as being the best heart rate monitor for rowers. Having now got one, I have to say it is really good value for money. I use it mainly for cycling, but I have also used it on the indoor rowing machine. It is very easy to use and gives great feedback. I like to strap it onto the top of my handlebars, next to my cadence/speedometer, and I have no problem reading the display. The digital coded chest belt works really well even in a crowded erg room surrounded by other people using HRMs. It has a calorie counter, which isn’t of much use for me, but some people may like that feature. What I really like using it for is to maintain the same workout intensity level when I’m battling into a head wind as when I had the wind behind me. Since using the Sigma Onyx Classic, my average speed has increased almost 10%, just because I’m being smarter about how I work out.

This is a good basic heart monitor. Once you’ve run through its controls a couple of times, it’s easy to use. It makes it easy to keep tabs on how you progress with your fitness plan. Overall it does what it is supposed to.

I originally looked at Polar heart rate monitors but after much research and advice from others, I choose the Sigma. The Sigma has a coded chest strap (unlike the cheaper Polar models). The batteries are user replaceable with off-the-shelf CR2032 batteries that cost about $2 each. The batteries in the equivalent Polar models have to be replaced by Polar which obviously costs a lot more.
The chest strap connected immediately with the monitor and if comfortable. It was easy to set up user information such as age, weight, etc. Since this model is designed for a woman rather than being unisex, the strap has plenty of adjustment for slim wrists. The handlebar mount was a nice extra although I doubt that I’ll use it. The Sigma is very easy to use. Most people are only interested in current heart rate, calories burned and heart rate zone (high and low). This offers all of those and is cute enough to wear as a daily watch displaying time and date.
After I bought it, I noticed another lady at my gym wearing the same model. She has had hers quite a while and loves it. Since the cheststraps are coded, there was no interference between us.
I really don’t know what else I would want from a heart rate monitor. Anything more would just make it too complicated. If you visit Sigma’s website you can test it for yourself with their on-screen demo. I guess the only thing I’d like to see would be a range of colors other than just black or blue.

Ok so with that said if your a bike rider you might be wary. This moniter is very easy to use with simple programs(read the book)once used to it. I find that I have to dab water onto the monitor before putting it on or will get a heartrate that’s all over the place until sweat gets it wet enough to provide a stable reading.

I bought this and was so please because it had exactly what I wanted and not too much jumble that I didn’t need. After about 2 weeks it stoppped reading my heart rate and would just display a “zero” for the heart rate. It became so frusterating because when there is no heart rate then it stops counting calories too. I’m returning it and finding another hrm.
