I gave this watch to 4 of my groomsmen and so far they are all loving them! The big face makes it easy to read and its sharp looking and from the reviews I read, its one of the few watches that reviews said seem to live up to expectations so we’ll see.
Help answer the question about Timex Ironman Wristwatch
Where can I have my Timex watch band replaced?
The model is Ironman WR100m. I bought it at Kohl's three years ago. The band is broken yesterday. I brought it to Kohl's. They have Timex bands look like mine. The saleperson said it might fit but I have to replace it by myself since I no longer have sale receipt from Kohl's. Some friend told me I should try Wal Mart. So my second question is if Wal-Mart has the same strict polity that they only service the watches they sold. Also I have tried mall jewelry/watch repair stores. Both said Timex bands are different so I can't have it done there. So my third question is Timex Ironman Wristwatch if I have to replace the band by myself, are all Timex bands of the same size really the same? I mean, I can't find "Timex Ironman Water Resist 100m" band, can I use "Timex Triathlon 30 Laps" instead since both are 16mm in size? From outside, two bands look the same except the color. Mine is silver while "Triathlon 30 Laps" is golden. Thanks for replying any question of the three.I have been to all places for my watch band early thisafternoon.Stores no longer sell watch bands: K-Mart, Sears and Target.Stores selling low end watch bands only: Wal-Mart. (and phasing out this business).I have no choice but go back to Kohl's. I explained to another manager that I bought my Timex there and can't no longer find my receipt since it was 3 years ago. She approved replacement. So I am a happy customers again. Side note: I paid $28 for the watch (price on the tag was $40. I bought on 30% off sale. The band costs $13, almost half of my purchasing price. I saw similar watch is currently for sale with $49 price tag, so I did not buy a new one instead.Lesson learned: buy next watch at Kohl's because they are the only chained store keeping the watch repair unit and they are smart enough not to service watches bought at other stores!

The Timex Ironman line of wristwatches is one of the most popular of timepieces available. One of the most useful models is the Shock, which happens to be solar-powered and thus very handy. This Timex Ironman is perhaps the leanest and meanest of all the makes ever made, not unlike an Altimeter Compass Watch. True, its lap-memory feature is only half that of something like the more expensive Triathlon, but it's a true Ironman all right, with the same sporty digital design as the rest of the family.

Indeed, all these watches so far can be counted on to provide some measure of water resistance and a great backlight. They are housed in tough durable stainless steel casing to protect against scrapes and scratches, often coupled to a resin wristband for rough wearing and action. A model like the solar-powered Shock previously mentioned Timex Ironman Wristwatch will provide up to six hundred and sixty feet of water resistance as well as, naturally, shock resistance. Like the Altimeter Compass Watch, the stainless steel bezels add to the professional look of one of these while fulfilling its primary task of marking and setting information. Timex Ironman watches are very macho-looking timepieces that are equally at home in the boardroom or the locker room, as the company likes to say. And indeed they have been very well-received in the marketplace since their debut, best embodying the company's old ad slogan "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking" with thick he-man chasses for sports and applications out-of-doors.

The company itself lives up to its old advertising motto, having been in the business of timepiece manufacturing since 1854. These timepieces are made by one of the most famous of American companies, with a proven track record as an industry leader, bringing to market one of the world's first digital watches ever in the 1970s or the first Mickey Mouse clock in the 1930s. These guys also make and market the popular electroluminescent lamps that have been providing backlighting for watches well over two decades.

Given this kind of experience and workmanship, these are a solid worker and a sure keeper. Indeed, this line carries on that tradition of design and technological innovation into the 21st Century. But everything is backed by a one-year warranty for good old-fashioned peace-of-mind reliability. History has shown us that stylish, hardy, multifunctional watches, at a low cost are always something people will be interested in. And why not, it's a combination history itself can't argue with.

This watch is just what I wanted, sturdy, holds a charge, 3 alarm. So far it’s been working no problem and i’ve had it for about 2 weeks. Solid screen, indiglo works just fine, and it’s actually not that big. I’ve noticed people have been complaining about their watches randomly turning off. it hasn’t happened to me, but in the manual, it says that if the watch doesn’t receive a charge for over 1 month, then the display will turn off in order to conserve battery life. So far, theres no cons about this watch!

this watch is an all-around great watch, but it has a flaw. if you switch time-zones a lot get one that keeps better time in the background. when you are in a time zone, it tends to get less accurate in the 2 unused ones, often losing around a second a hour when that time zone is not in use. otherwise it is a great watch. i haven’t dared to try it out in the pool, but in the sink the water resistance works great. my watch also arrived at a half charge but was fully charged within a hour. it looks great too!

I needed a cheap watch to use when I travel. If I lose it, it’s not a big deal. This watch was on sale and I liked the solar feature. I’ve owned the watch a month and I am happy with it so far. I have not had the freeze up others have described. I like that the watch will go into sleep mode to conserve the battery. I have found the little nub on the underside of the band loop to be a simple and clever design feature that really works well. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?

I bought this watch because I wanted the functionality of an Ironman with a nice look and feel that I can wear on a daily basis. This has met all of my expectations so far and I like the fact that it is solar and I won’t have to deal with batteries. I think it looks better than the picture and is extremely lightweight and comfortable. No complaints here.

This is an excellent sport watch if you need more basic features (no heart monitor, mileage / steps calculator, etc.) The dial is clear and large enough to read while running or moving. It may not be the most stylish sport watch (for females), but it is definitely worth its cost and I recommend it highly to those seeking a functional, value sport watch.

I love the features on this watch, the last one I had the strap cracked about a year into use but I’m willing to order more straps to keep the watch.

Watch was great until my battery finally died after 3 years. Bought a battery to change myself but the watch does not resest, it DIES. I don’t understand why one has to take this watch to a jeweler to change the battery? In any event, I am NEVER buying a Timex again. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WATCH.

I’ve worn Timex Ironman watches for the past 13 years. They are very decent watches for a relatively inexpensive price. I prefer the resin strap watches because they don’t retain odors like the cloth straps do.
I can take or leave the Flix technology, it activated itself sometimes when I didn’t want to, and wouldn’t work when I did. I just relied on using the normal Indiglo button.
These watches typically last me about a year and a half, and it is always the same piece that gives out. The small retaining band for the strap breaks inexplicably in the middle of the night, and I end up with the excess end of the strap flapping and catching on my clothes and falling off. The new watch straps are about half the price of what a brand new watch costs, and I find I prefer just to pick out a new watch because after the year the paint on the face has started to chip and it looks ragged. It’s also a refreshing change of pace to get a new color.

This watch is great. It helps hubby be awake in time for work. The dual alarm is handy. Haven’t tried the other features.

Don’t waste your time. I had two. They both fell apart in about the same time. Common symptoms to expect: face plate falls off, buttons stop working, buttons fall off, wrist band breaks, light stops working. Life span: max 1.5 years. I don’t know about you, but for $50 a watch should last longer than that. Both of mine kept bad time too, and I had to keep adjusting the time so I wouldn’t be late. Oh yeah, and the buttons are hard to press. Like I said, don’t waste your time…

I have come to like the Timex Ironman design. This is my second watch and will not be my last (as long as Timex continues to make them!) easy to use and wear. I workout with it every day and bring it to work with me.

This is a simple to use multifunction watch. The flip mode of watch does not work and the indiglo mode is ot powerful enough. But all other functions work perfectly. I am satisfied with this product.

I bought this watch for my wife, and I have to tell you she likes every aspect of it, size, lightweight, modern look.

I agree with many regarding the comfort and features of the watch, but the band is terrible. I didn’t mind at first when the first one just got faded to a muddy shade of clay, but when the band lost grip of the watch I thought it was a singular problem. The second watch I bought to replace it separated band from watch before I even had time to complain about the color fading. Timex really needs to fix this problem!

I bought this watch a year and a half ago, and it has been one disappointment after another. Within a few weeks, the color started chipping away from around the face. After a few months the band began breaking away from the face. I have decided to purchase a Casio. I hope it lasts longer than my Timex.

Nice design and number of functions. Unfortunately bad quality. The watch started to fog after a few weeks after rain or even sweating (designed for active women). Once stopped working for a few days untill completely dried up. Not reccomended.

So Last spring I decided to begin training for a marathon and would therefore need a good watch for pacing. After about a week of searching I decided this watch would best fit me. When I got it I was super excited to try it out, and it worked beautifully. On top of that it hugged my wrist better than any watch I’ve worn has before. Two major things turned me off to it though. The back light got on my nerves since I have terrible eyesight to begin with and hated struggling to see the time, and after about 5 months, the entire watch went kaput anyways. My opinion, if you’re a heavy runner, just bite the bullet and invest in a better watch; if not then go ahead and try this watch out. It’s a cool looking watch and from what the reviews say some people have had it for years and it still works fine. Your choice.

a light watch, good , except the font is small.

but this style is too old in the timex series.

I like this watch because of the band. I also dislike this watch because of the band.

The band, as you can see, has many open spaces designed into it. The result is a band that allows your skin to breathe. If you run in areas where it is hot and humid (as I do), this is a plus. There is nothing worse than running along, dripping with sweat, and feeling like you have a neoprene strap around your wrist.

Unfortunately, the band also has a tendency to break. This is the third time I’ve bought this model of watch. On the first one, the band came off up by the buttons. It was impossible to put back on. I ran with it in my pocket until the battery died.

I bought a second one. After awhile, some water got into the timepiece, and it went nuts on me. Faced with one watch that had a busted strap and one that had a busted timepiece, I decided to take the timepiece from the first and put it into the housing of the second, also using the second one’s battery. Thus, I created a new watch that I dubbed “Frankentimex.” Unfortunately, about six months after that feat of engineering, Frankentimex’s band broke near where it was being buckled. After ripping off the band and running (once again) with it in my pocket, it finally gave up the ghost.

So now I’m on number three.

It’s a good watch for running. Buy it cheap, though, because it won’t last forever. But what does?

i am a runner, this is the second watch like this i have owned the first the band tore as i was wearing it while wrestling with my brother, and the band cannot be purchased or reassembled at a store and had to send it back to get a replacement band, but it was under warranty so no worries there…then the band came apart a year or so later and instead of sending it in for maintenance i purchased a new one…its light, does splits, and has large numbers..the band is the only set back..but i may have been to rough with mine…all in all good watch and i do recommend it if you dont want to be weighed down with a bulky watch.
